Privacy Policy

Overview

Unicare is dedicated to protecting your personal and sensitive information while providing a secure and reliable platform for managing care services. We prioritize privacy, ensuring that all data collected is handled responsibly and used to enhance your experience, support staff management, and improve participant care outcomes. This policy applies to users of the Unicare platform and visitors to https://unicarehub.com.au.

What is Unicare?

Unicare is a comprehensive care management platform designed to simplify and streamline the delivery of NDIS and support services.

It helps organizations manage staff, schedules, participant care, tasks, and compliance efficiently, all in one secure and connected system. By centralizing workflows and providing real-time insights, Unicare empowers care providers to focus on what truly matters, delivering high-quality, personalized support to every participant.

Data Collection

We collect only the information necessary to deliver and improve our services. This includes personal details, contact information, usage data, and platform activity.

Collecting this data allows us to provide a seamless, personalized experience, optimize workflows, and ensure staff and participant interactions are properly managed and documented.

Location Data

Effective date: 7 May 2026.

Unicare collects and processes precise location data when required to deliver core workforce, attendance, safety, and appointment features.

We collect precise location data, including latitude and longitude, location accuracy, device-reported movement data such as speed, heading, and altitude where available, and reverse-geocoded address where available.

We collect location data only while the app is open and actively being used during check-in and check-out flows, during an active trip or live tracking session for an appointment, and during emergency alert submission where location is available.

Unicare does not collect or access background location on Android when the app is closed, minimized, or not in active use. Trip tracking and live location features work only while the app is open and active, and tracking stops when the user checks out or manually stops the trip.

We use location data to verify attendance and appointment check-in/check-out, support foreground trip tracking during active appointments, support staff safety workflows including emergency alerts, and improve service reliability and operational auditability.

We do not sell location data. We may share location data only with our backend systems and service providers required to operate Unicare features, authorized organizational administrators and coordinators where required for service delivery, and law enforcement, regulators, or government authorities where required by law.

We retain location data only for as long as necessary for operational, contractual, safety, and legal purposes. After that, the data is deleted or de-identified in accordance with our retention practices.

Users can manage location permissions through device settings. If location access is denied or revoked, some features, including check-in/check-out, foreground trip tracking, and location-enabled emergency alerts, may not function properly.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect location data and other personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

How Your Data is Used?

Your information is used to manage staff schedules, appointments, and participant care efficiently. It also helps us provide accurate reporting, streamline administrative tasks, and improve the overall functionality and performance of the Unicare platform. By using this data responsibly, we ensure that your experience remains smooth, effective, and tailored to your needs.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We never sell or trade your personal information. Data may be shared only with authorized parties, such as care participants, staff members, or regulatory authorities, and strictly when required for operational or legal purposes. Any data sharing is carefully controlled and logged to maintain transparency and accountability.

Data Security
